Ableism is the discrimination of people with a disability and/or chronic illness.
What is Casual Ableism?
Casual Ableism is the subtle ableism, usually hidden in seemingly innocent phases, conversations, actions.
How are we working stop ableism?
We share real experiences from real disabled and/or chronically ill people, with the aim to educate society about ableism.
Types of Ableism
There are many types of ableism that we will face during our lifetime. The severity or definition of ableism can be a spectrum which varies from person to person, depending on their lived experiences or how they feel about an experience/situation.
Educational Ableism
Educational ableism refers to ableism, exclusion, discrimination in education or towards you access to education.
Workplace Ableism
Workplace ableism is discrimination, ableism and exclusion found within the workplace.
Invisible illness or Disability Ableism
Invisible illness or hidden disability ableism is when you are faced with ableism due to having an invisible disability or health condition.
Social Ableism
Social Ableism refers to ableism faced within social situations, family, friendships or other social aspects of life.
